Hello! It's so nice to meet you!
I am an aspiring research scientist who advocates for girls to pursue STEM. My interest in research was sparked by my summer research experiences at the Air Force Research Laboratory as well as UC Irvine. Now I am a Senior at Mission Viejo High School, while others maybe winding down, I feel life is just starting. Seven AP/IB/college courses, research project for ISEF, Science Olympiad, running the Girls4STEM club, tutoring, and volunteering... life is hectic. While I love what I do, I can be overwelmed; but I can always count on escaping to serenity through my music and art until I am recharged again.
Girls for STEM
As one of the few female students in my computer science class, I felt a need to not only connect with other girls who are interested in STEM but also reach out to women mentors who can help guide us in the path of our pursuit. Since founding and running the club, I have been inspired not only by the impact these women have made in science but also their generosity in offering their time to mentor us.
Finding my path
I am preparing for a lifelong adventure in scientific research and I am excited! I may not know my exact path yet but searching for the path is an adventure in itself. I am so glad that we met during my journey! Hope we can connect and stay in touch!
